LASERMEISTER holds Tallinna stock a large number of the best materials for laser cutting. All materials are safe for cutting and tested to exact parameters. The size of the material is well suited for comfortable cutting even with a smaller laser machine. If necessary, the materials are also available in larger quantities and special sizes. We send materials by post to Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Latvia and Lithuania!
Order materials only by e-mail!
* For special-sized materials, a sawing service applies: 3€+tax/m
** Material measurements with an accuracy of +/- 10 mm
Safety in the choice of materials to be cut
Laser cutting machines can cut a wide range of materials. Different materials have different characteristics and attention must also be paid to the recommended maximum material thicknesses. As the laser beam emits a lot of heat, it is definitely necessary to emphasize fire safety.
We recommend that you use the table below as a guide when cutting materials.
Material | Notes | Warning! |
Solid wood panels | Avoid oily and resin-rich trees | Risk of fire! |
Construction plywood | Construction plywood contains a strong adhesive, so it may not cut as well as ordinary wood | Risk of fire! |
Laser plywood LASERPLY | Well and fast cutting material
Fiberboard LASERFIBER | Well and fast cutting material
Paper | Well and fast cutting material | Risk of fire! |
Cardboard, Cardboard | Well cut | Risk of fire! |
Cork | Well cut, but depends on the quality of the cap
Acrylic / Plexiglas / PMMA | Well cut | Dangerous gases are produced during cutting! |
Delrin (POM) | Emits a lot of smoke, but can be cut | Dangerous gases are produced during cutting! |
Mylar (boPET) | Edge bubbling may occur when cutting maximum thickness Mylar | Golden Mylar cannot be cut |
Solid styrene | Emits a lot of smoke, but can be cut | Preferably as thin as possible |
Depron | For use in the field of designers, toy airplanes or architectural models. | The cutting process must be monitored! |
Fabric / felt / hemp fabric / cotton | Well cut materials | Cut at low power! |
Leather / Suede | Raw leather is easy to cut | Treated hides can release poisons! |
Artificial leather | Depending on the type of artificial leather, it can be cut well
Magnetic sheet | Emits a lot of smoke, but can be cut | Dangerous gases are produced during cutting! |
Rubber without chloride | Gives off smoke but can be cut | Avoid chlorine-containing rubber |
Rubber with chloride | When cut, emits a corrosive and toxic gas | Dangerous gases are produced during cutting! |
Teflon (PTFE) | As thin a material as possible
Carbon fiber without epoxy resin | Very slow cutting speed required | Do not cut carbon fiber with epoxy resin! |
